Inshallah i want to get married one day, imagine your wife waking you up for fajr, no need for alarm clocks. You know what they say, the earlier the better!
Any hows I think we all want to get married, find a partner that can help us stay on the deen and finally get those shatan temptations out of our hearts, this society puts alot of pressure on all of us and we have to constantly keep ourselves in check. Its part of our natural inclination, if your a man you need a woman, and if your a woman you need a man. Doesn’t get any simpler than that. Allah sent eve to Prophet Adam in paradise because he felt lonely. How wonderful, Subhanullah!
As you know getting married is completing half of our deen, so you would definitely want to make sure your choice is official tissue, pray Allah gets you the right person thats helps you stay on Islam, so inshallah you can chill together in heaven reclining on couches sipping that wine. I want to put some ayahs of Surah Waqiah – which is Surah number 56, its real beautiful. Allah describes how the believers will be chilling in paradise.
[Waqia`h 56:27] And those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right![Waqia`h 56:28] Among thorn-less lote-trees.
[Waqia`h 56:29] And clusters of banana plants.
[Waqia`h 56:30] And in everlasting shade.
[Waqia`h 56:31] And in perpetually flowing water.
[Waqia`h 56:32] And plenty of fruits.
[Waqia`h 56:33] That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped.
[Waqia`h 56:34] And raised couches.
[Waqia`h 56:35] We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development.
[Waqia`h 56:36] So made them as maidens.
[Waqia`h 56:37] The beloved of their husbands, of one age.
[Waqia`h 56:38] For those on the right.
Wow Inshallah, Now let me talk about the real story, since the Internet has everything you can think of, including Shiekh Google, for 24 hour fatwas. Recently i have also seen a spark of Muslim matrimonial websites and advertisements for them. I don’t know how legit they are and if you agree with the process of how the marriage is set up, but it seems as if some of them are contributing to successful marriages, they even have success stories.
Alot of Muslims seeking partners seem to be using the Internet to find their spouse, but i feel uncomfortable for some reason. I guess thats me, i was just analyzing how these sites present themselves, one site called SingleMuslim.com offers random prizes such as umrah vacation for new couples, you can actually win a umrah trip for free. Yea thats hot, imagine going to umrah or hajj as soon as you get married, start a new life with your new wife fresh like new born baby’s.
One of the success stories was written by a sister named Alia she wrote ”

In addition they also have Islamic articles on marriage and how to be a good spouse, seems like they really trying to make the online service the newest way for Single Muslims to get married especially in the west and not using the traditional methods. I guess it all comes down to the situation and we must make the right decisions to approach marriage the halal way.

SingleMuslim.com is terribly expensive, so much that I'd call it a rip-off. It's that expensive because they give services to sisters for free, and price most brothers out of the market so that only "stable", probably professional, men stand a chance.
There are also free services such as muslimintro.com, and those with a much lower cost such as muslimmatch.com, which allows you to pay for a few days' membership at a time so that you can read or send just one message.

your assertion that eve was sent to adam because he was lonely is offensive. very offensive. it implies that the woman was created for the man, that her existence is because of man being lonely……………. otherwise she wouldnt have an existence. we are both created for each other. one is not exclusively created as a plaything for the other………………

I got married thorugh singlemuslim almost five years ago; we now have two kids. Alhamldulilah it's good for converts who don't have families to fix them up, or for people who want to marry from different societies or nations.
BUT I strongly advise against singlemuslim because they did some very inethical things when I was using them (sending messages from people that appeared to be genuine but were actually computer-generated), which is especially bad considering its supposed to be a religion-based site.
Your review is funny, you got married and have had two children, but you don't recommend the site. Alhamldulilah for success!
Salam my brothers and sisters, some interesting feedback on singlemuslim.com, but brother khalid williams, it seems like what you said makes alot of sense, in our culture, our parents tend to know many people from back home or even have connects here just from the community so it is easier, but on the other hand alot of individuals from my generation want to actually find the person themselves, i guess it all comes down to the situation, but you just have to be patient and make dua, Allah will always help you if you call on him with sincerity and love.
To brother sameer, thanks for fixing my mistake, i was just trying to point out how a man needs a woman and woman needs a man, i wasn't trying to say thats the woman's purpose in life, they have the same purpose as us Alhumduillah, but basically we need each other, and Allah knew this, its part of our nature, and if you find a good wife, you can feel the projection towards each others hearts, to help each other on the deen.

Finding people online is hit or miss. Can be okay but also can turn into a nightmare. Best thing to do is network among the people you know.

i think these websites can be a good thing definetly . i am a convert and i know for the sake of my deen i needed to find a husband asap. but i didnt have a muslim community(there wasnt one where i lived …. the closest was 4 hrs away) so i wnet to qiran.com and i posted my profile and it took me awhile but i eventually found my current fiance. and inshallah we are going to be married in march . i thank allah everyday for that brother and if it had not been for the internet. there are some good women and men out there but they may not neccisarily be in ur neighborhood or community

I am appreciative for this blog as a sister who converted about five years ago, I am have a difficult time finding a partner that I and my family will approve of. I am going to try to websites but I think I would really benefit from meeting someone through people I know. But again I am one of a handful of muslims in my family, including my aunt and uncle, who do not know that I converted I will ask for Allah help and guidance. It is a true test for me during this time.

salam, it is interesting to read about how everyone else utilised these online marriage wesites. I have read many stories of reverts finding this as a successful means to find their potential spouse. it is not that easy for a born muslimah either- living in Oz. Although we may know muslims… I don't actually know anyone. And when your parents expect you to find somebody on your own. And you know Islam says no to dating…. what more of a halal way can u find somebody… Subr i guess…. and lots of dua.
