Victims Family from Ft. Hood: No negativity towards Muslims

Shout out to Brother Meer for sharing this.

Collective guilt sucks, thank you Kerry for keeping it real, great to know people like you are still around.

(May Allah swt give the family of Michael Cahill patience in these troubling times, Ameen)

Btw, what is up with the ‘yo’ thing going on? Sorry to say, but it is pathetic. Grow up.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Our capital city, Kuala Lumpur, is proud to host the upcoming 2nd International Muslim Unity Convention at the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC) on 15-16 December 2009. The event is being hosted in partnership between the Ramadhan Foundation UK, Perdana Leadership Foundation and My Events International.

The main focus of this event is the 2-days Conference and Exhibition, which will bring Islamic scholars from different countries under one platform to present topics and dialog sessions with the audience on Muslim unity. Confirmed speakers at the Convention include Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia, Muhammad Umar, Chairman of Ramadhan Foundation, HE Al Sayed Ali Al Hashimi Special Advisor to His Highness President of United Arab Emirates and Shaykh Dr Abdur Rahman al Jarrar Senior Scholar at The Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf Dubai, UAE. Topics that will be discussed at the Convention include Islam & the Media, the role and rights of the Muslim Ummah as well as the Call for Unity.

Subsequent to September 11th incident, numerous efforts by various international organizations were taken to straighten global perception of the Islamic world. One of the major initiatives was taken by the Ramadhan Foundation in 2005 when the organization was inaugurated in UK during the 1st Muslim Unity Convention. This noble effort is still continuously being carried out and attracted more support from across the globe, with the 2nd International Muslim Unity Convention becoming a reality soon.

The targeted delegates for this event are professionals from all levels, members of government and non-government institutions, Islamic scholars, students, families and other grass root individuals. It is open not only to the Islamic society, but also to further understand Islamic way of life. Business professionals can also benefit from the event while exploring opportunities of expanding into other Islamic countries across the region and greater parts of Asia, Europe, and Americas.

Subhannallah, May Allah grant them ease during their tough time.

Also, i disagree with the comment which claims ‘yo’ is ‘pathetic’. If you do not understand the culture that the blog author may have grown up with (by that i mean the words that affect people they know) or indeed their intentions for using the words, then please do your homework before telling someone who is striving to create cohesion and help the muslim youth to grow up. Your words are more offensive than the 2 letter word in question. Subhannallah.
