Don’t Be the Devil’s Advocate.

So I was just thinking recently after watching this video, How much of our claims about “Loving Allah” and “Hating the Shaytan” are actually true, It’s real strange how we say one thing one moment and then another moment our hearts quickly change and we are tricked into committing a sin or following the shaytan after his whispers.

It’s real interesting how often these whispers can be so evil and we ask ourselves ” How are these thoughts coming to me?”. Especially in Salat. Well guess what? Did you know that their is a specific evil jinn that Iblis sends out to distract people in salat. His name is “Khinzuq”, his job is to put the worst thoughts you can ever imagine in your head. This specific jinn used to come to our beloved Prophet Muhammad, and one time the our beloved Prophet choked him out. Yes! he choked him out, because thats how angry he got towards this evil jinn. Our beloved Prophet was able to see the jinn, and he told us that if this jinn comes to you during Salat giving you these haram thoughts, Then look towards your left shoulder and spit three times and say A`udhubillahi min al-shaykhtan (I seek refuge in Allah from Satan).

So you might be wondering about these thoughts, don’t worry. Its natural. Just make sure you keep this advice in your hearts and recite what our beloved Prophet told us to keep yourself safe. One of the tricks of shaytan is he likes to make you question yourself about the deen inwardly, and in this process the individual falls into doubt about his or her deen and boom! All of a sudden your not following the commands of Allah. So think about it and be real careful about what you say and how you act in accordance to it. Oh yea Please Watch this video and tell me what you think, (Warning: He looks really ugly and scary)….

That video is silly. The shaitan appears to us in pleasing forms not some stereotypical devil.

salom, i just wanted to say that this is a very great and benificial post, because i know that all believers and non believers go through this and that only the believers notice it because the non believers dont care and love the amusement and play that shayton whispers to them. but i just wanted to say that it does happen to me often and alot of horrible thoughts go into my head and i mean i do ask for Allahs (swt) help. i still ask for help from Allah (swt) but i have now come to realize that maybe this is happening to me for a reason such as the thoughts in my mind, the thoughts that shayton whisper are more of a challenge to me and i cant say that it has worked 100% but all i can say is that at times when shayton has whispered are taken me away from the path i just think of other things and i also tell my self that it is a test and God just wants us to be strong and have self restraint and self control. also i do question my belief but like you said i just look to my left and spit 3 times and say A`udhubillahi min al-shaykhtan-ir Rajim. and go on with my life i just hope that my lord forgives me my sins and allows me to enter the Garden. and the same goes out to all of you, please dont stay yourselves from the path, thats the wrongfull (if that is a word) thing to do . JUST SIT BACK RELAX AND CHILL YOU ISLAM YO i thought i might add that just to show that you can do other things to get other things off your mind….. such as doing a puzzle or reading a book or even watching Dr. Zaik Nakir. on Peace Tv.

User acct for the video terminated =\ Upon reading “our hearts quickly change”, qalb (heart) comes from taqallub (fluctuation). SubhanAllah, we have been given guidance on asking Allah to keep our hearts steadfast, on His religion, in His obedience. What of our soul’s maladies did Allah not address?
